50 Dogs Abandoned in Illinois Dog Park

Introduction

PETA is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of someone who left 50 dogs in Hammertime Unleashed Dog Park in Boone County Illinois on July 14, 2024. While I definitely have some strong opinions about PETA that are not necessarily positive, I will hand it to them – they are ruthless and in some instances they go after the right people. Click here to read the full press release. PETA is looking to prosecute for animal abuse. Some additional items of note: 

• The dogs appear to be Yorkies or some very small breed 
• The going theory is that they were being used in dog breeding operations 
• If you happen to live in the area, you can report any tips as follows: “Anyone with information related to the case should contact the Boone County Sheriff’s Office at 815-544-9322 or Boone County Animal Services at 815-547-7774.”

Conclusion 

Thank you PETA for doing something semi useful for going after actual animal abuse this time. No thank you for cultishly promoting veganism, aggressive euthanasia programs, and fiendishly pushing for animal rights more aggressively than anyone has ever pushed for human rights.
