Dog Toys – Alternative to tennis balls
Tennis balls, a popular dog toy, have a lot of disadvantages. Particularly, tennis balls are easily destroyed and eaten by dogs and can be costly to replace constantly, to say nothing of vet bills if your dog can’t pass them. This is why I recommend these foam balls pictured above as a dog toy alternative to tennis balls for the following reasons:
- These foams balls are basically indestructible. Dogs can chew on them for hours and not destroy them.
- They are water proof, so when your dog decides to store the balls in a water bowl, you don’t have to worry about these balls getting destroyed.
- They are unique enough still that there aren’t a ton of people out there using them so you can be more sure when you’re out in public that you’re picking up your ball.
- They are lighter than tennis balls and don’t hurt if you or a dog gets hit by them.
Some potential drawbacks:
- They don’t fit well into standard ball throwers.
- Because of how light they are, they don’t fly in a perfectly predictable way and generally you have to tone down the power when throwing these for your dog.
Conclusion
This product is a great alternative to tennis balls, especially if you sit or own a lot of dogs and need some toys in the mix that are easily cleaned, basically indestructible, and are well liked by all dogs. You can purchase them through the link here if you’d like to try them.
